Jamaica has announced it will open its borders on 15th June
The country is currently repatriating 8000 Jamaican nationals who have been stuck due to the travel restrictions put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Until 14th June, Jamaicans returning back to the island have to undergo temperature checks and screening, as well as then needing to quarantine for 14-days and be monitored with phone or wristband geofencing.
After June 15th, all visitors will be screened via thermal temperature checks and symptom observation.
New measures will be in place
An extensive set of operational protocols have been announced, including health screening before entry, which will be implemented as a way to manage risk to workers, communities and travellers.
Through all stages of a visitors journey, protocols will be addressed at every stage from planning their trip to enjoying the destination.
Protocols have been researched and implemented that will make staff and guests comfortable and assured of their safety. From arrival at the airports that have been enhanced to ensure a smooth and speedy process of immigration and customs through to sanitised transfers to our COVID-19 resilient certified resorts, all steps have been looked at carefully.
Any visitor who exhibits symptoms or is ill will be subject to quarantine
