Despite UK quarantine, bookings to the Med have doubled as Brits hope to travel abroad next month
Rising numbers of Britons are planning a summer holiday abroad despite the threat of quarantine on their return.
While the UK government still warns against non-essential travel abroad, the strict measures are hoped to be relaxed as many hope to travel as soon as next month.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock said he 'really hopes people will be able to fly this summer, but it has to be approached with caution.'

Ryanair boss, Michael O'Leary, said there had been a doubling in the number of UK bookings to destinations in the Med compared with seven days earlier. The low-cost airline is launching 1,000 flights from July to tourist hotspots in Europe after the earlier grounding of the fleet.
Analysis by Travelsupermarket showed that the average price of a package holiday from the UK to Algarve has dropped by 48& over the summer months, from late March to early June. Average prices for breaks to Tenerife are down by 19%, while the price for a trip to Zante has dropped by 21%.
